BAE Systems, (LON:BA), has selected AAR to support the U.S. Army Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles program with its mobile shelter systems.

U.S. company AAR announced a contract option under a deal with BAE has been exercised. As part of the $40 million order, AAR will deliver additional mobile shelters in support of BAE’s FMTV contract with the Army.

The mobile shelters, produced by AAR’s Mobility Systems unit, are designed to support military and humanitarian operations with a flexibility to address evolving tactical requirements.

“We are very pleased that BAE Systems has extended and expanded this program and that our mobility products will continue to be an integral part of the U.S. Army’s ground operations,” Timothy Romenesko, AAR president and chief operating officer, said in a statement.
