Mounted Maneuver Collaboration Center

General Dynamics Corp., (NYSE:GD) is building a Detroit-area center it says will speed the design and construction of new military land vehicles.

General Dynamics Land Systems holds a groundbreaking ceremony Monday in Sterling Heights, MI where the division is headquartered. The company says the Mounted Maneuver Collaboration Center will cost $8.2 million, occupy 22,000 square feet and open next year.

Republican U.S. Rep. Candice Miller of Harrison Township will be the keynote speaker.

General Dynamics says the center will collaborate with the U.S. military and other companies in developing vehicles for the U.S. and its allies.
