The position of moving plant and machine parts can be measured with the AMS200 laser distance measuring devices. Measured positions are reproduced at an accuracy of ±3mm over a measuring distance of 200m. The combination of laser technology and signal processing gives the operator an image of the values which can be used – without limitation – for orientation in position-control circuits.

Interfaces for Profibus DP and SSI are available. In the same way as the standardised M12 connection technology, they are accessible from the front of the device.

Speed monitoring reduces buffering costs up to 30% in high-bay warehouses. The device sends a prefailure message that helps prevent or at least reduce downtime.

Accuracy is ±3 mm over 200 m. By combining lasers with modern signal processors, users receive images of values for positioning control circuits. Profibus and SSI interfaces are standard. Interface for power, programmable I/O, and controls are via M12 connectors on the front panel. Heated versions can operate in temperatures as low as30°C.
